This is Hannah Jones (and her brand new Nashville studio space!) who’s one half of the duo, Jamie and the Jones. The co-designed line also includes Jamie Frazier who’s currently living in Seoul, South Korea where she’s developing the brand. The two friends met at O’More School of Design and have been working together ever since combining their similar aesthetics that lean towards clean silhouettes and meticulous handwork — I’m talking knitting, crochet, embroidery, beading and hand painting. These gals do it all.

Be sure to check out their beautiful collections here.

Hello everyone! Been MIA from the ‘ole blog for a few weeks because I was showing ModCloth around town! We took them on a little tour of Nashville via video (above) + photos (below) and a great time was had by all (my production team was amazing – local videographers Julia Huskey and Natalie Ashker were a dream to work with and so talented. They shot and edited the entire video). It was so hard to narrow our city gems down to 7 places, but it’s a nice taste of what we have to offer. If you’re planning a trip to Nashville, feel free to get in touch with me about more places to scope out! And, if you’re local, sign up for my NYLON newsletter on daily cool happenings in the city. XO

This year’s Nashville Fashion Week was, by all estimations, a complete success. The Little City That Could certainly met or exceeded expectations, both locally and nationally. With the help of some of the hardest working members of the Nashville fashion community, NFW was a well choreographed event packed with shows, panels, appearances and parties being hosted all throughout our city in venues ranging from churches (as seen above), high rises, arcades, historic theaters, music venues and auditoriums. The strongest highlights included the Queen of PR, Kelly Cutrone (People’s Revolution) who spoke at the Belcourt Theater–living up to her reputation for being one of the most respected women in the fashion industry–and Christian Siriano’s beautiful show, which was as well received by all. Style icons Betsey Johnson and Ben Sherman showed their collections alongside favorite local designers Shea Steele (White Rabbit) and Amanda Valentine (VALENTINE VALENTINE).
