TOMS saw my post on Koko’s glasses and reached out to me asking if I could do a spur of the moment photo shoot with Koko wearing a pair of shoes from their women’s line. We had so much fun doing this. Thanks, TOMS!

I had the honor of being asked to shoot the Belcourt Theatre’s nD Festival fashion show that took place last night. Jamie and the Jones, Bodkin and Steven Alan unveiled their fall collections, each of which was introduced by a beautiful short film ( Kristin Barlowe for Jamie and the Jones, David McClister for Bodkin, James Clauer for Steven Alan) setting the tone right before the catwalk. Nikki Lane, Gabriel Kelley and Holly Williams also provided lovely acoustic mini-sets in between the shows.

While the national spotlight is becoming more and more focused on Nashville, the quality of work being showcased here will blow any expectations or preconceived notions out of the water when it comes to what this town has to offer.  From the items donated for the silent auction to the local artists who were asked to participate I was more than impressed with the results.

In the spring, I was asked by J Brand jeans to help out with a new campaign called J World that they recently launched. Basically, I took photos of some gals and guys wearing J Brand jeans on the street. But, you too can add your own street style photos when wearing your favorite pair of J Brand’s. ooh la la!

This project was so much fun to work on and I loved how all the Nashville photos look on the site. I was able to showcase some real Nashville talent with more than a few beautiful models from MACS/AMAX allowing me to shoot them all over the city. Ah, sadly I’m back from Austin but SXSW was wonderful, as expected. I’m used to being locked in a big ole’ park or field while hunting down the uber cool girls but SX is different. It takes place all over the city in different bars, music venues, clothing stores and many other places (making it more of a street style scavenger hunt). But, I was up for the challenge and I got some really great shots (a few of my faves above).
